UPDATE: Thank you for your interest in the Ring.com Residential Video Doorbell Rebate Program.  We have had an overwhelming positive response to the program.  At this time all of the rebates have been claimed and therefore the program is closed.  Please check back later for more updates regarding the program.

La Cañada Flintridge, CA – The City of La Cañada Flintridge has negotiated a subsidy with Ring.com to provide residents with discounts on select home security devices. The City will offer a $50 per household subsidy; Ring.com will match the $50 subsidy for a total rebate of $100, in addition to offering further discounts to residents. The approved, $5,000 subsidy level will enable 100 homes to participate in the program on a first-come-first-served basis.

The rebate program will provide residents the opportunity to purchase video doorbell cameras, which link smartphone users to their doorbell when the camera is activated by either motion sensors or someone ringing the doorbell. Residents can see, hear and speak to visitors through their smartphones, tablets or desktop computers.

With residential burglaries always a concern, the City Council sees the program as a resource to enhance public safety in the community.

“The City is working towards utilizing technology as a method to enhance public safety measures. Residents will have the opportunity to take a proactive role in protecting their homes and making their neighborhoods safer,” says Michael T. Davitt, Mayor.

The program starts October 24, 2017 and will run until February 21, 2017 or when the subsidy amount is reached.
