Gregory C. Brown Appointed to La Cañada Flintridge City Council

La Cañada Flintridge, CA – Gregory C. Brown has been appointed to a two-year term on the La Cañada Flintridge City Council. He will serve through March 5, 2019.

“I love the City of La Cañada Flintridge and this community,” says Brown. “My primary goal is to have the city government continue to promote and maintain the aspects of the city that make it special.” 

A former planning commissioner, Brown was first elected to the La Cañada Flintridge City Council in 2003. He served on the Council through 2011, including a term as mayor from 2006-2007.

“Greg is a seasoned local leader,” said Michael T. Davitt, Mayor of La Cañada Flintridge. “His experience and acumen will allow our team to move forward immediately in united service to our community.”

Brown also has served on the board of the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation, and on the Mayor’s Trail and Discovery Park Committees. He is a past president of the La Cañada High School Music Parents’ Association.

Professionally, he is the General Counsel and an Executive Vice President of Pacific Coast Energy Company, and the General Counsel, an Executive Vice President and the Chief Administrative Officer of BreitBurn Energy Partners, an independent oil and gas limited partnership. He previously was a partner at Bright and Brown, a Los Angeles-based law firm that he co-founded in 1981. Brown received his J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles and his B.A. from George Washington University. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
